07 December 2006 - Inland Revenue has published an Operational Statement outlining how they will work together with the Charities Commission to monitor and advise charities of the requirements for income tax and gift duty exemptions following the opening of the Charities Register. The statement also looks at how registration with the Charities Commission will feed into Inland Revenue's determination of donee status.
