Charities registered under the Charities Act 2005 have a wide range of purposes and activities, and touch on New Zealanders' lives in many different ways, providing support and services where they are most needed.
This data from the Charities Register provides useful information about charities, from which Charities Services can obtain and publish relevant and specific data about the charitable sector and its work.
Some charities are large and complex, but many are small and have minimal resources to do their work. Some are "mature" and experienced, others are newly-established, and still developing their unique character.
