NOTE: This decision was appealed to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, and based on the Supreme Court's decision Te Rātā Atawhai, the Charities Registration Board declined the application.

Greenpeace of New Zealand Incorporated (Greenpeace) appealed the decision of the Board, and the appeal was upheld by the High Court. The High Court held Greenpeace of New Zealand Incorporated (Greenpeace) qualifies for registration.
