Sourcecode Trust
On 14 April 2026, the Charities Registration Board (the Board) issued Sourcecode Trust (the Trust) with a Notice of Intended Decision (NOID) advising that it intended to decline the Trust’s application for registration as a charitable entity.
The Board acknowledges that the Trust’s beliefs are sincerely held and does not question the right of the Trust or its representatives to hold and express those beliefs. The role of the Board is to independently consider the information before it and determine whether an entity meets the requirements for registration as a charitable entity when the matter has been referred to it for decision.
The Board has declined the application for registration as a charitable entity under the Charities Act 2005 (the Act). The Board is not satisfied that the Trust has demonstrated that its stated purpose constitutes the advancement of religion for charitable purposes.
