Charities Services can no longer accept cheques

Published 2 June 2021

As of 1 June 2021, Charities Services can no longer accept cheques as payment for annual return fees. We have made this change as a result of banks across Aotearoa phasing out the use of cheques.

Charities will be able to pay their annual return fees online by internet banking. Simple instructions on how to pay online are on our website.(external link)

Charities Services will be available to support charities through this change as we understand this may take some time for charities to work through.
